Track & Field  Konami;Kemco (Konami)1987 1990s 20thcentury ballistics city-barcelona-es claypigeonshooting consoleclassix earth europe highjump hurdles hurdles-110m iberia javelinthrow longjump multisport score spain sprint sprint-100m trackandfield triplejump walking The Armchair Olympics Are On The Air! This ain't no 20-minute workout. It's the ultimate in head-to-head athletic competition, in 8 grueling events. 100-Meter Dash. Long Jump. Hurdles. Javelin. Skeet Shooting. Triple Jump. Archery. And the High Jump. No timeouts, no breathers, no water boys. Just you and your own exhaustion. So get psyched. Pick your level of competition and the opening event. Then block out the roar of the crowd, and take a deep breath. Because it's not whether you win or lose. It's whether you survive.***1 player or 2 players simultaneous competitive.
[Zerothis]***Track & Field combines the events of the two separate Japanese cartridges [game=#173086]Hyper Olympic[/game] and [game=#168936]Hyper Sports[/game] into a new game, which was a very good idea, because with a total of eight events you get more fun for your money. All events are very well playable and motivating. The game had a very late release date in Europe (1992) and apparently they renamed the title to profit from the fact that this was the year of the Olympic Summer Games in Barcelona (Spain).

Stadium Events  Nintendo;Bandai (Human)1986 exergame familytrainer-series firstpartytitle hurdles-110m longjump noasin powerpad sprint sprint-100m timelimit trackandfield triplejump Stadium Events Game Pak, which turns your home into an exciting stadium, dares you to increase your physical ability and better your athletic record. You'll compete against a runner in the Tournament Mode, and in 4 events for a total score in the Olympic Mode. The top 6 winners' names and their scores will appear on the electronic billboard. The top 3 winners will stand on the winners platform!***

[33]***This is the second game in Bandai's Family Trainer Series. You can compete against the computer or a second player in four different disciplines with the special "Power Pad" peripheral. While the game is fun for a short while and features a not so bad 3D effect for its time, only four different disciplines are not enough variety and the controls are very similar in each discipline. On an emulator this game is ridiculously easy due to the fact that pressing buttons on a keyboard is much faster than running on the Power Pad.***Bandai created the Family Trainer and sold it in Japan. They created 10 games for it including one called "ランニングスタジアム" (Running Stadium)(1986). This game was renamed "Stadium Events" and packaged with the peripheral, which was also renamed "Family Fun Fitness", and test marketed by Bandai in a limited number of Woolworths departments stores in North America (1988). Nintendo then decided to purchase the North American rights to the peripheral and games. The Renamed them yet again to "Power Pad" and "World Class Track Meet" and recalled the previous packages (1988).
World Class Track Meet and Stadium Events are the exact same game, sold in different packages. The Stadium Events package is the rarest licensed NES game ever be released for public sale with only 10 known NIB (new-in-box) copies and 300-800 used 'in the wild' and has sold for up to $5,600.01.

Hyper Sports  Konami1985 archery ballistics buttonmasher claypigeonshooting highjump multisport score trackandfield triplejump uvl-sku walking 4 988602 504170 may be the Hyper Sports set which includes the Konami HyperShot. Hyper Sports by itself may have another JAN code.***Hyper Sports is the second early 4 event sports game from Konami. The events consist of Archery, Skeet Shooting, High Jump and Triple Jump, which were all later also included together with the four other disciplines from [game=#173086]Hyper Olympic[/game] in the US/EU releases under the name [game=#8384]Track & Field[/game]. The four disciplines in Hyper Sports are all well done and motivating. Today you would say only four disciplines are not much, but this wasn't an issue at its release in 1985. Not quite as good as the similar, but more complex [game=#35201]Summer Games[/game], but still a good substitute for NES players. labelimageminimize
Hyper Olympic  Konami1985 hurdles hurdles-110m javelinthrow longjump multisport score sprint sprint-100m trackandfield uvl-sku walking the JAN code 4 988602 502190 is used in numerous outlets to refer to both ハイパーオリンピック (Hyper Olympic) and ハイパーオリンピック 限定版! (Hyper Olympic Gentaiban! ). Hyper Olympic is 4 events based on Konami's Arcade game of the same name. It seems appropriate to note here that Hyper Olympic's PCB has no chips, just 2 'gloptops'. Which is often a sign of fast and sloppy manufacture. Hyper Olympic Gentaiban! has all eight events and is the same game as Track and Field. There's a bit of tech difference also. Gloptop Hyper Olympic uses no memory mapper while the aditional data of the Gentaiban edition reires the use of a mapper.***For Hyper Olympic, Konami took four track&field disciplines (100m dash, long jump, 110m hurdles and javelin throw) from the arcade version and put them on this Famicom cartridge (a few months later they would eventually release four more events as [game=#168936]Hyper Sports[/game] and a US release with all eight events on the same catridge as [game=#8384]Track & Field[/game]). The game is a good example of a varied and well playable multi-sport events game. Good controls with a mixture of button smashing and right timing, as well as a high motiviation to break your own records make this game worth to play. labelimageminimize
